 Friends of FIDO,

Another 6 weeks and 2013 passes us by but our work at FIDO is still needed as much as it was almost 11 years ago when we rescued our first dog from the dog pound.  We have made great strides with implementing and supporting the Lorain County Dog Pound’s Mandatory Spay/Neuter Program and with saving the lives/sponsoring the care for 182 animals in need thus far this year.

FIDO remains STRONG and UNWAIVERING in its mission to save dogs from Death Row and to ensure spay/neuter of every animals that comes our way.

But with this mission comes great cost.  Thus far in 2013, we have spent over $116,000.00 saving lives by providing TOP NOTCH QUALITY vet care, major surgeries and medical treatment for severely injured and mistreated dogs, formal obedience training, behavioral rehabilitation, boarding and doggie daycare and sponsorships of reputable rescuers to achieve spay/neuter and quality care of all their animals.

We remain COMMITTED to continue this work, but without YOU we cannot support our calling and help the homeless creatures that need us.

If everyone on this email list donated just $40.00, we could achieve this goal.  But no amount is too small so if you cannot afford $40.00, we will accept anything you can give.  For every $40.00 you donate your name will be entered into a drawing for some great prizes in which winner’s names will be drawn on New Year’s Day.  These prizes include:  A $200.00 Coach Gift Card, A Diamond chip silver necklace from Vandermark Jewelers, A Doggie Care Package Basket, A Wine Basket, A Gardening Basket.

For anyone who donates $500.00 or more, your name will be put in the regular raffles but also be included in a 6 night, 7 day stay in a Gulf Beach Front Condo in Sanibel Island, Florida for up to 4 people valued at $2,000.00.  Condo has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms along with a outdoor lanai that overlooks the Gulf of Mexico.  Travel expenses to be paid for by winner.  Trip limited to be taken from April 2014 thru October 2014.

Any amount of donations can be made via Paypal at or mail a check to PO Box 518 in Avon  44011.

Please take the time to enjoy our video of dogs on death row currently at our dog pound and dogs that we have saved (takes approx. 8 minutes and turn on your speakers).  Special thanks to our volunteer Kaylee Young and her brother Josh for putting this video together for us.  This video shows lives we have been able to save and give a 2nd chance too b/c of your support.
